PHILIP PIZZUTO, ESQ.

Philip G. Pizzuto is a trial attorney with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of civil litigation, concentrating in employment, toxic tort, personal injuries and governmental claims. He has extensive litigation and trial experience in both state and federal courts. Mr. Pizzuto is among the most experienced attorneys in toxic-tort matters, having been a lead member of the New York City Law Department’s Lead Paint Unit for several years. Mr. Pizzuto was also one of the first attorneys assigned to handle a matter stemming from the 9/11 World Trade Center Attack and tried some of New York’s largest and most catastrophic cases, including a recent employment discrimination case where plaintiff attained one of the highest verdicts in employment law for damages from emotional stress. Mr. Pizzuto has tried cases throughout all New York City venues, the Superior Courts of New Jersey, New York and New Jersey Federal Courts, attaining numerous favorable jury verdicts. In addition, Mr. Pizzuto has presented on litigating and trying cases, including toxic and hazardous substance cases and has been a guest lecturer on trial advocay for the New York City Law Departmen and on toxc tort claims before the insurance industry and universities and law schools in the tri-state area and at the University of Rome, Italy.

GABRIELE B. SHAKERI, ESQ.

Gabriele Burner Shakeri is a skilled litigator with over twenty years of experience as a civil litigator. Gabriele provides extraordinary client services in the areas of personal injury, employment, contract and other disputes in Suffolk and Nassau Counties and New York City’s five boroughs. She works closely with her clients to develop legal strategies which advance their cases while balancing costs and time. Gabriele has successfully tried cases throughout the five boroughs and regularly litigates matters in Suffolk and Nassau County. Gabriele has a wealth of experience, including litigating some of most complex cases for the City of New York where she spent nearly a decade representing New York City police officers, firefighters and teachers involved in civil court cases. Gabriele has litigated personal injury cases for over twenty years including toxic tort cases (asbestos and lead paint), motor vehicle accidents and catastrophic injury cases stemming from the 2003 Staten Island Ferry crash. Gabriele also spent several years working in Afghanistan and Dubai representing small and medium-sized businesses in an in-house counsel role. While there, she developed a keen business sense and utilized her litigation skills to help clients achieve professional success while protecting their legal interests.

TODD J. KRAKOWER, ESQ.

Todd Krakower represents clients in all types of case with an emphasis on employment matters, including claims arising under Title VII, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the New York State Human Rights laws, as well as overtime and wage & hour claims. Mr. Krakower has also represented victims of negligence ranging from toxic-tort and Labor Law claims. A seasoned litigator, Mr. Krakower has tried personal injury and employment cases to verdict and attained many favorable results in both federal and state courts and government agencies.

MARIO M. MARCHINI, ESQ.

Mario M. Marchini is an experienced New York attorney representing injured workers in all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation.  Mr. Marchini started his career in workers’ compensation with the U.S. Department of Labor OWCP and then as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department. From there he continued in worker’s compensation and managed an appeal and litigation unit with a large defense firm in New York. Mr. Marchini then served as a managing attorney for a national insurance carrier and as Vice President of claims litigation.  Mr. Marchini was most recently a partner in a national defense firm where he managed a team of associates in the firm’s workers compensation division.  After nearly 25 years of experience and exceptional service in the workers’ compensation field, Mr. Marchini continues his practice representing exclusively injured workers.
